Recording Studio Gear And Facilities
The studio layout consists of control room, live performance room, two vocal/amplifier booths, fully equipped kitchen, relaxation area and lastly a WC/shower room. Fully air conditioned throughout the warm and calming decor will ensure your stay with us will be as comfortable as possible. The facilities also include WIFI, ample onsite parking and shops, amenities and railway station are 5 mins drive away. Pickup from station can be arranged.
The studio hire comes complete with engineer included in the pricing and bands and solo artists are welcome to bring their own producers to aid with the production process. Our engineer is also a producer in his own right so if you wish to make the most of your recording experience he can produce for you. MICROPHONES
As an avid collector of microphones we are starting to gather a locker full of goodies. We have a selection of valve, ribbon, condenser and dynamic microphones to fit every recording scenario. Our collection includes Stam Audio SA 47 valve, Neumann M147 valve, AKG C12 valve, AKG C28b valve, TLM 103’s, AKG 414’s, KM84’s, SM57 and 58’s, Rhodes NT1’s and NT2’s, D112, MD420’s, Audio Technica drum mic set, M201, STC 4038’s, STC 4021’s and the list goes on.
OUTBOARD
In this digital age we are very much analog freaks at Oastview Studio. Our Delta 5 enabled SSL AWS 900+ console gives us the best of both worlds with its Pro Tools connectivity and its pristine analog preamps and signal path. Our analog signal chains complete with compressors from UAD, Neve, Serpent Audio, Solid State Logic and Stam Audio among others.
We also have a range of guitar and bass amplification, instruments, drums and percussion. Lastly, the studio employs a personal monitoring system so each performer can have their own personalised headphone mix whilst tracking their parts.
RECORDING SYSTEM AND SOFTWARE
Utilising high end convertors by Antelope Audio our recording system comprises a Mac Pro 2019 running both Pro Tools and Logic Pro. Seamless control integration via Our SSL console makes the recording process a breeze. We have a vast library of audio software, samples and plugins such as Melodyne, Slate Audio, East West, Isotope, UAD, Sonnox, Waves, Abbey Road, Soundtoys plus many, many more.
