Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a Gift Voucher or Experience Day. By purchasing or redeeming an Oastview Studio Gift Voucher, you (the "Buyer") and the recipient (the "Holder") agree to be bound by these terms.

Oastview Studio is a trading name of Broadwood Music Productions Ltd (Registered in England and Wales under Company Number: 04706882; Registered Office: 7 Thomson Close, Snodland, Kent). These terms apply specifically to gift purchases and operate alongside our standard Studio Terms of Business.

1. Validity and Expiry

 • 6-Month Expiry: All Gift Vouchers are valid for exactly 6 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is clearly printed on the voucher.

• Strict Deadline: The studio experience must be booked and taken before the expiry date. Once a voucher expires, it cannot be used, and any remaining balance or session entitlement is permanently forfeited.

• Extensions: To maintain fair studio scheduling, we do not offer extensions to voucher validity periods for any reason.

2. Cancellations and Refunds (The 14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

• Online Purchases: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the Buyer has a statutory right to cancel a voucher purchased online for a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

• Forfeiting the Cooling-Off Period: If an experience is booked and taken within this 14-day window, the Buyer explicitly requests the service to begin early, and the right to cancel is lost.

• Exclusions: After the 14-day cooling-off period has passed, all Gift Vouchers are strictly non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, cash equivalents, or alternative products.

• Recipient Refunds: Refunds can only be processed back to the original payment method used by the Buyer. We cannot issue cash or card refunds to a voucher recipient.

3. Booking and Studio Availability

• Advance Booking: All studio experiences are subject to availability. We strongly recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance, particularly for weekend slots.

• Late Bookings: Failure to book an appointment before the voucher expires because the studio is fully booked will not entitle the Holder to an extension or a refund.

• Upgrades: Holders may upgrade their experience or add extra participants at the time of booking by paying the price difference.

4. Rescheduling and Cancellations of Bookings

• Notice Period: Once a studio session is booked, you must give us at least [e.g., 48 hours / 7 days] notice to cancel or change the appointment.

• Late Changes: If you change or cancel your booking inside this notice window, or fail to attend your scheduled session, the Gift Voucher will be deemed used and permanently forfeited.

• Rescheduling Limit: Any rescheduled session must still take place before the original 6-month voucher expiry date.

5. Cancellations by Oastview Studio

In exceptional circumstances (such as staff illness, equipment failure, or power outages), Oastview Studio reserves the right to cancel a confirmed booking at short notice. If we must cancel your session, we will notify you as soon as possible to reschedule the appointment. In this event, your session will be rescheduled free of charge, and if your original 6-month expiry window is compromised by our cancellation, your voucher validity will be extended by [e.g., 30 or 60] days. Oastview Studio is not liable for any third-party losses, travel expenses, or accommodation costs incurred due to a cancellation.

6. Studio Rules and Attendance

• Lateness: Studio sessions are booked back-to-back. If you arrive late, your session will finish at the scheduled time so subsequent clients are not delayed. Lost time will not be refunded or extended.

• Under 18s: Recipients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian during their studio experience.

• Right to Refuse: We reserve the right to refuse entry or terminate a session without a refund if any participant behaves disruptively, inappropriately, or is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

7. Lost Vouchers and Liability

• Loss of Codes: Oastview Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed voucher codes. If you lose your digital eVoucher, please contact us with the original Buyer’s name and order number, and we will attempt to reissue it.

• Retailer Insolvency: In the unlikely event that the business ceases trading or enters administration, vouchers will be treated in accordance with UK insolvency law.

8. Mix Engineer Experiences

• Certificate Of Work Experience: The certificate is issued after the completion of all 4 Mix Engineer Experience Modules whether purchased individually or as part of the Total Engineer Experience. The certificate is not issued by any formal body or educational establishment and is intended to give the recipient a reference that they have completed two days work experience at Oastview Studio.

• Experience Content: The Mixing Engineer packs are intended as a ‘hands on studio experience’ only and in no way relate to any formal education or recognised syllabus. 

9. Karaoke and Superstar Singer Experiences

• Singing Experiences Format: Our karaoke sessions are professional studio recording experiences designed to capture high-quality vocal performances. Please note that Oastview Studio does not use standard commercial karaoke systems and we do not have the facility for "follow the bouncing ball" style lyric screens. Singers will be provided with static digital or printed lyric sheets and professional studio backings. It is the responsibility of the participants to be reasonably familiar with the timing and phrasing of their chosen tracks before the session.
